 I read What Was It Like? This story told me about children's lives in World War Two. It was very terrible. When some bombs ware landing, they had to go into the shelter. There were many people, and they could hear the loud wailing noise. I cannot imagine this but I think it was frightening. Children were sent away because the city was dangerous. Especially, I was surprised that they have their gas masks. I did not know this because Japanese children did not have them. The book told that they had a funny smell and they felt hot. I have never experienced the war. However, this book gave me a chance that I think about it.  

 I read Victorian Adventure . This story is that Biff, Chip, Kipper and their grandmother go to London long time ago. Biff, Chip and Kipper met Vicky there. She was a child but worked to earn money. I shocked this fact. They also met a boy who named Jack. Then they went to Buckingham palace and played with the queen's children. I think this is very interesting because this does not happen in fact. They enjoyed plying, but they were found out by the grown-ups. They were separated. However, their grandmother and the Queen Victoria were friends. So, they met and played again. It looked very interesting. I think if I can go to old Japan, I want to play with people there.

 I read the Black Tulip . This is the story about growing the black tulip which is very unusual. There are two men who try to grow it, Cornelius and Isaac. The person who can do is given 100000 guilders. Cornelius could get three black tulip's bulbs, but he was arrested by mistake. In prison, he met Rosa and they fell in love. They tried to grow the black tulips in cooperation. However, Isaac stole them. Cornelius and Rosa were very sad, but they can finally get them again. This story is about the black tulip. Cornelius and Rosa were very happy finally, but there are many troubles like execution. They are so terrible. I think the black tulip carried both good things and bad things.

 I read Save Floppy! This is  one of the Oxford reading tree series. I like this series because Kipper and Floppy and their friend's adventures are very interesting. I often read them every week. This time, Biff and Chip go the adventure and try to save Floppy. There are various troubles. For example, they were attacked by the giant bird and the genie. However, they were able to save Floppy. This made me happy.
